The small print
Editorial policy
Where the facts on guaranaantarctica.co come from, which labels the nutrition figures are read from, and how to report a mistake.
Every page on guaranaantarctica.co is written by the editors of this guide. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.
Facts about the drink
Can and bottle sizes, pack counts and ingredient lists come from the product data of each pack, one pack at a time. Nutrition figures are read off the label printed in a product photograph, and the page says which photograph: the front panel of a can, or the Nutrition Facts box on a 2-liter bottle. Where a label does not state a figure, the page says so instead of filling it in.
Caffeine is the clearest case. No US label we could read states how many milligrams a can holds, so no page here prints a number for it. The caffeine guide explains why and what the FDA says about caffeine in general.
What we do not claim
We do not speak for Ambev or AB InBev. We do not describe guaraná as a cure, a supplement or a source of energy beyond the caffeine it carries, and we do not promise that one recipe is better for you than another. Where a page talks about caffeine, sugar or sweeteners, it names the source, and the source is linked from our guides.
Photographs show the cans and bottles as they are sold. Pictures with slogans printed over them, and pictures of national-team shirts and crests, stay off the site. The film on the home page is cut from those product photographs.
Corrections
If a figure, a price or a sentence here is wrong, write to fizzdesk@guaranaantarctica.co. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
